When people are in need, we can’t just stand by and do nothing. This is the time we need to step up, a time to start something good for those around us. When our friends at 412 Food Rescue in Pittsburgh, PA reached out it wasn’t a question of would we be able to help. The only question was “how could we help?”
You’re about to meet a woman who reached out for help. Before the coronavirus situation developed, Daphne had recently relocated to Pittsburgh to escape a domestic violence situation. Now she found herself in another crisis. This is how we’re making a difference.
Daphne is just one woman on a list of nearly 50 families in need that we received from 412 Food Rescue’s founder and CEO, Leah Lizarondo. Check out the amazing work Leah and her team continue to do, connecting people in need with food that would likely have gone to waste.
We’re going to continue to work on Leah’s list and our goal is to help every one of those families get the food and supplies they need to get through this crisis.
