Bakery Starts Making 10,000 Sandwiches For Monday Event

The staff at Oakmont Bakery is working hard to prepare each and every one of the 10,000 sandwiches we’re giving away on Monday. By 11:00am they already had 3,000 sandwiches assembled and ready to go.

Bakery owner Marc Serrao and his son, Tony, are leading the effort. I talked to both of them about the excitement and effort that’s bringing this all together.This really is a team effort. The Chaffin Luhana Foundation is paying for the labor to get these sandwiches made, and some of the materials. Other businesses have stepped up as well… helping slice meat, donating cheese, lettuce, chips, milk. It’s just amazing.

This is a big-time collaboration to make this happen. It all started with my friend, attorney Eric Chaffin and his the Chaffin Luhana Foundation. They are paying for the labor to get these sandwiches made, and some of the materials. Other businesses have stepped up as well… helping slice meat, donating cheese, lettuce, chips, milk. It’s just amazing.
