Couple Surprises Denny’s Waitress With New Car

Christmas came early for a waitress in Galveston, TX who got the tip of a lifetime from two generous customers last week.

The waitress, Adrianna Edwards, had been walking 14 miles every day to get to and from her job at Dennys. She told her story to a couple she was waiting on last Tuesday and mentioned that she was saving money to buy a car. After giving the woman an extra scoop of ice cream, Edwards said goodbye to the couple, and they went on their way.

A few hours later, the couple returned and handed Edwards the keys to a 2011 Nissan Sentra that was parked outside the restaurant. While she thought it was a prank at first, she quickly learned that it was real.

After talking with Edwards earlier that day, the couple went and purchased the car from the Classic Galveston Auto Group.

“I still feel like I’m dreaming, Edwards told WTOC-TV. Every two hours, I come look out my window and see if there’s still a car there.

The car is a game changer for Edwards. A commute that used to be over four hours long now takes 30 minutes. This gives her a lot more time to focus on her goals, like going to college.

I can now go to college sooner than anticipated, she said.

The couple who bought Edwards the car wishes to remain anonymous. They said they dont want anything in return for their gift, only that Edwards someday pay the kind gesture forward.

The enormous act of generosity is not lost on the waitress, who teared up when she was handed the keys.

I just hope that one day when Im financially stable enough, I can help somebody else in need.” – Adrianna Edwards

Inspired by the couples amazing act of kindness? You might not be able to buy someone a new car, but there are many small ways to show kindness to others every day. Leaving some extra money for a tip, paying for the persons cup of coffee whos in line behind you, or simply holding the door can brighten someones day. Lets work together to #StartSomethingGood.
