Businesses Salute Vets! Where To Take Advantage of Deals

While we think that our veterans should be celebrated more than one day out of the year, its important to recognize the sacrifices of those who served our country. So, whether youre attending a parade, spending the day with a relative who served, or its just another day at work, be sure to thank the brave men and women who help keep our country safe.

Many retailers and restaurants are honoring service members on Veterans Day by offering free meals, discounts or complimentary services. From free coffee to haircuts, heres a round-up of some of the great deals we found for both veterans and active duty personnel to take part in nationwide:

The chain is offering a free meal to all active military members and veterans on November 11. Eligible diners have the opportunity to select their meal of choice from a limited menu that includes pasta, salads, steak and more. The offer is for dine-in only and participants must show proof of military service.

This is the 12th year that Applebees has given free meals on Veterans Day and they hope to keep the tradition going!

Vets can get their caffeine fix at Starbucks on Veterans Day when the chain will be giving out free tall (12 oz.) hot brewed coffees. The Buck will also be donating 25 cents for every cup sold nationwide to nonprofits Team Rubicon and Team Red, White and Blue.

Great Clips

Veterans and active duty military members can get a free haircut at Great Clips on November 11, or grab a free haircut card that can be used at a later date. Non-military customers can purchase a service on Veterans Day and receive a free haircut card to give to a veteran.

To see more great offers, you can check out the U.S. Veterans Magazine guide, or this article by the Spruce for even more freebies, discounts and services.

Just be sure to bring a valid military ID or proof of honorable discharge as most places will require one to take part in their deal or discount. If youre planning to go to a restaurant, be sure to plan ahead and make a reservation if possible. You might also want to check before you go to make sure the location youre visiting is participating in the offer for vets.
